Tutoring and Teaching Experience

I'm a Minnesota licensed teacher, and I have over 10 years of experience teaching students of all ages, backgrounds, abilities, and goals. The majority of my teaching has been in Adult ESL. Much of my classroom teaching experience was at an adult education center located in Columbia Heights, where I taught intermediate to advanced adult English Language Learners from 2011 - 2017. I also taught English to elementary and middle school students in South Korea and Social Studies to at-risk youth at an alternative learning center in Columbia Heights. Much of my English instruction has targeted improvement in reading fluency and comprehension, speaking (fluency, stress, intonation, and grammar) and writing.

I have over 4,000 hours of private, one-on-one and small group tutoring experience. I've tutored native and non-native English speakers in language arts, English, and standardized test preparation.
